My first true love. Acting came into my life in high school and revolutionalized my sense of self and the world at large. There have been times when it was the only thing inspiring and invigorating enough
to pull me from the quicksands of life.
In today's world, a packaged world driven by image and message, a modern world - selling access but starving connection - the theatre is more crucial than ever before. Humanity must come together, face to face (profile pics don't count!) We need to breathe each other in and speak our truth.
The theatre provides connection. It protects our language, our heritage and our humanity. It gives us a voice (a literal one) in a world run by corporations.
For me, acting is a priviledge, a pleasure, a responsibility and a calling.
